Viticulture Wine Crate Insert / Organizer

This is an insert for the Viticulture Wine Crate.  It holds essentially everything you can buy, including Viticulture Essential Edition, Tuscany Essential Edition, Viticulture World (including the Greengully Starter cards), Bordeaux, Rhine Valley, Moor Visitors, the Arborioculture and Formaggio official print-and-play expansions, metal coins, and the Tuscany Special Workers Promo cards. It supports premium sleeves (photos show Dragon Shield American Standard on the large cards and Gamegenic Prime on the small cards), has no lid lift, and was designed to aid setup and teardown.

There are now so many ways to play Viticulture, one of my main goals with this insert was to make it flexible so you can arrange things they way you prefer.  The video below has more details, but there is a left chamber and a right chamber, and you can arrange the layers in nearly any order you’d like within those chambers.  For example, if you mainly play Viticulture World, you can place its board on the top layer and move the Tuscany and Bordeaux boards toward the bottom of the box.  If you like to play with the Moor visitors, the large visitor card trays are sized so you can leave those cards shuffled into the decks.  And if you prefer to play without them, there is a separate tray that can hold them.  In the video I show an example where you can optimize the box for playing 3-player games with Bordeaux, placing those components on top while the remaining player boards, game boards, and player trays are placed toward the bottom of the box.

Here are some other features of the insert.

• Adjustable trays for every card type.  These trays go directly on the game board.  Discarded cards can be placed behind the divider to keep the table neat.

• Two money and glass bead trays to place around the table.

• Six individual player trays that hold everything a player needs to get set up.

• Two large cups to hold the Viticulture World overlay tiles.  You can shake up these cups and randomly draw directly from them.  If you prefer to draw from bags instead of the cups, the cups are large enough to store the components in draw bags, as shown in the video below.

• Circular markings on some of the card trays to identify which trays should be placed in the same layer.  The photos and video have more details.

Note that this insert was not designed to hold the original base game board.  The Bordeaux expansion has a version of the original board on its back side, so I optimized the insert to hold the Bordeaux board.  However, if you have the base game but do not have Bordeaux, the base game board will fit.  It is a 4-fold board instead of a 6-fold board, so it is not as thick as the Bordeaux board.  This will leave a little extra room at the top of the box, but it should work fine if you don't store the box vertically.
